Five999 Privacy Policy

1. Scope

This Privacy Policy explains how Five999 ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the Five999 FiveM server, website, authentication system, and related community services.

2. Information we store

Five999 aims to keep player account information to a minimum. Information stored may include your Discord ID, Discord username/tag, FiveM name, technical authentication or session information, and fictional character or world data submitted to or generated by the server.

Five999 does not intentionally request unnecessary personal information such as home addresses, telephone numbers, government identification numbers, payment-card information, real-world financial information, or real-world employment information. Five999 does not receive your Discord password through our own authentication system.

3. Fictional character and world data

Five999 is a persistent roleplay environment. Players may create and enter data about fictional characters and the fictional world, including character names, histories, occupations, businesses, properties, vehicles, relationships, organisations, roleplay events, in-game transactions, and related records.

This information is intended to represent fictional characters and the fictional world, not the real-world player. It is used to maintain the operation, persistence, continuity, moderation, balancing, and development of Five999.

Do not intentionally enter unnecessary real-world personal information into character fields, roleplay records, or other server systems. If a player submits information that identifies a real person, that information may be personal data even if it was entered as part of roleplay.

4. How we use information

Five999 may use stored information to authenticate players, provide access to the Services, associate a player with their FiveM identity, maintain persistent character and world data, moderate the community, enforce the Terms and server rules, prevent cheating or abuse, investigate technical or security incidents, maintain backups, restore data, and develop or improve server systems and the fictional world.

We do not sell player information.

5. Storage and third-party access

Information stored within Five999 systems is intended to remain within systems controlled by Five999. Five999 does not intend to grant third parties access to player data stored within our systems. We do not sell, rent, trade, license, or otherwise provide stored player data to third parties for their own use.

Access within Five999 may be available to authorised staff where reasonably necessary for administration, moderation, security, technical support, maintenance, or development. This statement describes Five999's intended handling of data within our systems; it does not control independent data processing by Discord, FiveM/Cfx.re, or other platforms that you use directly.

6. Discord authentication

Where Discord is used for authentication, Five999 may receive limited account information needed to identify you, such as your Discord ID and Discord username/tag. We do not use Discord authentication as a reason to collect unrelated personal information.

Discord is an independent service. Information you provide directly to Discord, or information Discord collects through its own service, is governed by Discord's own terms and privacy policy. Five999 does not control data held independently by Discord.

7. FiveM/Cfx.re

Five999 operates using the FiveM platform. FiveM/Cfx.re is independent from Five999. Information that FiveM/Cfx.re collects or processes through its own service is governed by its own terms and policies. Five999 does not control data collected independently by that platform.

8. Cookies

Five999 may use authentication cookies to maintain a login session, verify authentication, protect authenticated areas, and support website functionality. These cookies are intended for functional and security purposes, not behavioural advertising. See the Five999 Cookie Policy for more information.

9. Data retention

Five999 retains information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it is used. Retention periods may differ by information type.

Persistent fictional character and world data may need to remain stored to preserve the continuity and functionality of the roleplay environment. Account, authentication, moderation, and security information may be retained where reasonably necessary for account management, rule enforcement, abuse prevention, or security.

10. Requests and deletion

You may contact the Five999 team through official support channels to ask about personal information held about you or to request access, correction, or deletion where applicable.

Deleting character or world data may not always be appropriate or technically possible where it would affect the continuity of the fictional world, server functionality, security records, moderation records, or rule enforcement. Requests will be considered in accordance with applicable law.

11. Security

Five999 takes reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect information stored within our systems. No online service or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. You are also responsible for maintaining the security of your own accounts, including your Discord account.

12. Children's privacy and age requirements

Five999 does not intentionally request unnecessary personal information from children. Users must comply with the age requirements imposed by applicable law, Discord, FiveM/Cfx.re, and Five999 server rules.

13. Privacy rights

Depending on your location and the laws that apply, you may have rights regarding personal information, including rights to request access, correction, or deletion, or to object to or restrict certain processing. These rights are subject to applicable legal conditions and exceptions.

14. International access

Five999 may be accessed by players located in different countries. Where applicable, we will handle information in accordance with the legal requirements that apply to Five999. Independent platforms such as Discord and FiveM/Cfx.re may process information under their own terms and policies.

15. Third-party services

Discord and FiveM/Cfx.re are independent third-party platforms that may be needed to access or use the Five999 community. Five999's intention not to grant third parties access to data stored within our systems does not apply to information you independently provide to those platforms or information they collect through their own services.

16. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy if our Services, data practices, or applicable requirements change. The current version will be published through the official Five999 website or community channels with a revised Last Updated date.
